Johnny “Football” Manziel was the favorite going into this year’s draft, but ended up 22 places behind number one, “Mr. Football” Jadeveon Clowney. Still, at least Manziel was a first round pick.

Obviously, the real news happened in the fifth round when Mizzou’s Michael Sam was picked by St. Louis. Unless you’ve been under a rock lately, you’ll remember the University of Missouri’s Michael Sam “came out” after finishing his last season. This makes the newly minted Ram the first openly gay NFL player.
