Former Death Row Record CEO Suge Knight was reportedly shot multiple times early Sunday morning at West Hollywood stripclub 1 Oak.
“Early stages of the investigation indicated that the person known as ‘Suge” Knight has been identified as one of several victims of this shooting that occurred in West Hollywood, “ said Deputy Jeff Gordon of the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department.
The police confirmed two other victims, a 32-year-old man and a 19-year-old woman. Authorities said the shooting occurred after 1:30 a.m. Sunday. The club was hosting a release party for Chris Brown’s new album.
There has been no confirmation of how many shots were fired. Sources close to Knight’s family told TMZ that he was shot once in the arm and five times in the stomach. Doctors recovered three of the bullets, while the other three went straight through.
After being shot, Knight was able to exit the club and take cover behind a car parked outside the club as cops surrounded him with their guns drawn.
Knight was later escorted to an ambulance and taken to the ICU to undergo surgery for non-life threatening wounds.
