What the Foul?
NEW YORK — New York Knicks player Cleanthony Early was robbed and shot early Wednesday morning by a ski-masked robbery crew in Queens after a night out at the strip club.
Early was targeted by six men and robbed of his iPhone, two gold chains and even the gold caps off his teeth, police sources said.
The second-year player was targeted after leaving the CityScapes gentlemen's club with his girlfriend Lliani Douge around 4:15 a.m.
The couple was taking an Uber cab home when three cars surrounded the vehicle at a red light, security video showed.
The Uber sped off as the suspects got out of their vehicles. The assailants then continued the chase, boxing the cab in at the next intersection. The robbers then ordered Early to get out of the vehicle.
After Early handed over his things, one of the suspects shot him in the right kneecap. The attackers then fled the scene.
Early was taken to Elmhurst Hospital Center in stable condition, authorities said.
No suspects have been arrested in the incident.
