We all know Justin Bieber's music is pretty bad, but a story coming out of Russia now proves beyond a shadow of a doubt that it's genuinely unbearable.

Fisherman Igor Vorozhbitsyn was at his favorite spot in northern Russia's Yakutia Republic when he was suddenly attacked by a vicious bear.

Just when he thought he was a goner, the 42-year-old's phone began to ring to the tune of a song even bears apparently can't stand: Justin Bieber's 'Baby'.

The chart-topper, which was apparently too annoying for the beast to take, saved Vorozhbitsyn’s life!

While suffering from cuts and bruises to his face and chest, Vorozhbitsyn managed to pull through and is no doubt incredibly grateful to his granddaughter whom he says loaded the track onto his phone.

CORRECTION: An investigation by Buzzfeed has called into question the veracity of this video. The website's analysis of dozens of stories published by Central European News (CEN) noted several inconsistencies between the original report of this story, published by Russia's Komsomolskaya Pravda, and that of the source of this Tomo article, Austrian Times, which has the same owner as CEN. The former made no mention of a Bieber ringtone, but instead said the bear had been scared off by a function on Igor Vorozhbitsyn's phone that announced the current time.
