AVON PARK, FLORIDA — Max Horton of Avon Park, Florida is one geezer that you definitely don't want to tick off, but it turns out that, that's really easy to do.
The old-fart you got into into an argument with landscaper Robert Hendrix over a bit of grass that had landed on Horton's car. The incident began as a verbal argument but quickly escalated to the point where Horton pulled out a gun and ordered Hendrix to get on his knees.
Hendrix's colleague Johnny Barnes tried to intervene, "Hey hey," he said. The 91-year-old was distracted with the second landscaper, and Hendrix made a move to disarm him. The gun was fired during the struggle.
Barnes then tackled Horton to the ground and the two held him until police arrived.
Horton was initially treated for injuries before he was hauled off to Highlands County Jail on a charge of attempted first-degree murder.
