Justice is Served
SAN ANTONIO, TEXAS — A suspect in San Antonio, Texas allegedly broke into a home by squeezing through a doggie door on the morning of June 11th. The break-in occurred along the 1400 block of Vanderbilt Street on the Southeast Side, and things were going pretty well for the home invader until around 10 a.m., when the homeowner suddenly returned to his domicile.
Immediately noticing his possessions strewn about, the homeowner grabbed his .40 caliber handgun and within seconds, came face-to-face with what had to be a very surprised burglar.
Three or four gunshots later, the burglar had a sizable hole in his head and despite several surgeries, the unidentified suspect was listed as in critical condition as of press time.
Police did not give a definitive answer as to whether charges against the homeowner might be filed but they seem unlikely given Texan law which clearly allows a person to defend themselves and their property with lethal force if necessary.
