Woman at Walmart yells at man for using food stamps to buy groceries
This viral video shows a woman yelling at a man at a an undisclosed Walmart. The man could be heard saying he works 50-60 hour weeks to provide for his family, while the woman argues it's her money that pays for his food as the government has garnished her wages for his stamps.
WALMART — A video posted on YouTube shows a woman lashing out at a man for using food stamps at an undisclosed Walmart in the U.S.
The video begins mid argument as the woman berates a man at a cashier stand while his child sits in the cart just a few feet away. The woman can be heard commenting on his work ethic.
The man responded, "You know, I put in 50-60 hour weeks ... trying to provide for my family."
The woman then gets even more upset saying, "You're not providing for them. I am. The government is ..."
He said, "You're not."
She said, "They take it out of my check, bullshit they don't."
The man told the woman to contact her local congressman and issue a complaint or vote Republican. The woman responded that she was definitely not a "bleeding heart liberal," and the two continued bickering back and forth. A few F-bombs were dropped before the video ends with the man completing his purchase and the woman, who just noticed she was being filmed, waving at the camera.
While the location of the Walmart and the identification of both individuals remain undisclosed, many commented on the irony of the woman shopping at the retailer known for paying such low wages that many of its employees are forced to depend on government assistance programs to survive.
