Watch as lucky Taiwanese scooter rider sent flying by car is saved by an inflatable pool
A scooter rider was flung into the air and flew across the road before luckily landing in a paddling pool after being hit by a car at a junction.
A 17-year-old man surnamed Lin, riding without a license or helmet, made a blind turn and got hit by a car approaching from the opposite direction.
He landed in an inflatable paddling swimming pool at the road side, which saved his life. Lin was fined more than US$200 for riding without a helmet or license, and for making an illegal turn.
The car driver also received a penalty for driving without due care and attention.
