RED FLEET STATE PARK, UTAH — Hundreds of ancient dinosaur footprints have been damaged by tourists in a Utah state park.

According to the Associated Press, at least 10 of the footprints have been thrown into a lake. Park officials caught one juvenile throwing slabs with prints into the lake.

The footprints classed as fossils under Utah law, meaning destruction or vandalism of one could result in a felony charge.
