NSFW    MULHOUSE, FRANCE — A French company has released a bikini with a special sensor that they say warns the wearers if they've spent too much time in the sun.

The Connected Bikini requires wearers to input information about their skin types.

The sensor will then monitor the wearer's interaction with the sun and send an alert to their phone when it thinks they have been out too long and need to reapply sunscreen.

Each bikini costs around $167 and can be custom made.

The sensor is removable and also waterproof and wearers will be able to download an app to enter pertinent background information regarding their skin.

A 'Valentine's Day' version sends a message to partners who can apply sunscreen on a wearer's behalf and a beach towel offering the same function is also available for purchase.

In a promotional video for the swimsuits, models are seen partaking in a photo shoot showing off the sensors and how easily they attach to the suit.
