CHARLESTON, SOUTH CAROLINA — Child actor Jake Lloyd was arrested in South Carolina last week for reckless driving at speeds of over 100 miles per hour.
Authorities say that the star of 1999's The Phantom Menace was driving dangerously before he crashed into some trees. He didn't appear to be under the influence of drugs or alcohol, police said.
According to NBC, Lloyd, who gave police the name Jake Broadbent, was charged with resisting arrest, reckless driving, driving without a license and failure to stop.
Lloyd had not posted bond and remained in jail Sunday, authorities said.
