NSFW    Seven Cambodian workers were killed when their truck flipped into a ditch after crashing into a tree in eastern Thailand on Friday.

The crash occurred while the pickup, overloaded with nearly 20 workers, was traveling through the Nong Yai district in Chonburi province early Friday. After one of the truck’s tyres burst, the vehicle swerved and crashed into a tree before flipping into a ditch by the road.

Police are searching for the Thai driver who fled the scene. Five of the passengers were killed immediately, while two others died in the hospital. Seven others were injured.

More than a million migrant workers from Myanmar, Cambodia and Laos work in Thailand. Nine Cambodians on their way home for the holidays were killed in a van crash in Chanthaburi province earlier this month.
