Tennessee biology teacher charged with raping five students

NSFW    NASHVILLE, TENNESSEE — A high school teacher in Tennessee has been charged with five counts of statutory rape.

The teacher has been identified as Marquita Alston, who was a biology teacher at Pearl Cohn High School in Nashville, Tennessee. She allegedly had sex with five different 17-year-old boys.

The investigation began in November 2014 after the school principal contacted the police. According to police, some of the sexual contact may have occurred on the school campus.

Alston was placed on administrative leave on November 25, 2014 but she officially resigned on December 1, 2014. She is currently free on $1,000 bond.
