BOTHELL, WASHINGTON — A 25-year-old teacher in Bothell, Washington has been arrested for getting it on with a male student, who was only 16 at the time.
A choir teacher at Lynnwood High School, Olivia Sondheim engaged in a relationship with a student enrolled in her class that escalated into sexual territory. When the Edmonds School District found out, the Snohomish County Sheriff’s Office was alerted. On October 12, police were at Sondheim’s door with a search warrant.
After being placed on leave from her duties, she’s since been arrested and is now facing charges of first-degree sexual misconduct with a minor.
Her crime comes on the heels of a child-sex sting in the same school district reported on September 26, which saw a history teacher and a bus driver arrested for responding to a Craigslist ad set up by detectives posing as a 15-year-old girl online.
