A robber was shot to death by police on Sunday after attempting to rob a gold shop in Kota Baru, Malaysia. According to local reports, the robbers, armed with guns and pistols, threatened a customer, a worker and the shop owner, telling her to open the display cases. The heist was stopped when three policemen spotted them while on their rounds outside the shop. After seeing the police, the robbers split up and ran away.
One of the robbers was shot in the leg during the chase and died in the street shortly after, while his accomplice managed to escape. State police chief said the dead man was identified as Mohd Bustaman Bibi Ali, from Kampung Tok Uban, Pasir Mas, the Star reported.
