Philippines president says he threw a kidnapper out of a helicopter
The story came to light this week as Duterte threatened to throw corrupt officials out of helicopters as well.
MANILA — Philippine President Rodrigo Duterte this week claimed he once threw a kidnapper out a helicopter when he was mayor of Davao city.
That man and his cohorts had reportedly kidnapped and abused a Chinese girl.
Duterte’s claims were made as he threatened to do the very same thing to corrupt officials over the city of Manila, reported The Philippine Star.
Earlier this month he admitted to hunting and killing suspects while he was mayor of Davao.
Nearly 6,000 drugs suspects have been extrajudicially killed by police under orders from Duterte since he became president in the summer.
