More cops busted for having sex while in the line of duty
A pair of Florida cops may lose their badges for getting in on online and in person while at work.
JUPITER, FLORIDA — A couple of high-ranking Florida cops may lose their badge and gun privileges after an ongoing romance was found to have bled over into the line of duty.
Jupiter Police Sgts. Amy Walling and Jason VanSteenburgh once shared a torrid love affair beginning in 2012, but a report following an internal investigation by the Jupiter Police Department has uncovered some inappropriate conduct, The Palm Beach Post reported.
In December 2014, Sgt. Walling sent Sgt. Vansteenberg a photo of her in her office, wearing his unbuttoned sergeant shirt.
On April 24, 2015, Sgt. VanSteenburgh returned the favor, snapping a photo of his exposed penis while donning his SWAT Team uniform. He did this in a hotel bathroom, while he was supposed to be on duty for a homicide.
On July 25, 2015, the two made a 23-second sex tape, featuring Walling performing oral sex. The police radio can be heard in the background.
On March 29, 2016, the two sergeants had sex at VanSteenburgh’s apartment.
In April 2016, Sgt. Walling attacked Sgt. VanSteenburgh, his fiancee, and two other people at a restaurant. The incident triggered an investigation. Walling sent a Facebook message to VanSteenburgh’s fiancee, listing the dates and times the two had had sex or exchanged sexual text messages.
The Jupiter police chief has recommended both be fired for their behavior, which took place when at least one of them was on duty, or in the performance of their duties.
