MIAMI, FLORIDA — A neurologist has been suspended after a viral YouTube video
showed her attacking an Uber driver.
The woman in question is Anjali Ramkissoon and she's a fourth-year neurology resident with Jackson Health System, reported ABC 10.
The incident took place in the Brickell area of the city on Sunday. The video, posted on Tuesday, shows Anjali and the Uber driver arguing. It shows her trying to attack him, getting in his car, and throwing his belongings all over the street, before walking away. The footage has garnered close to one million views.
Anjali's online accounts have gone dark, probably in a bid to avoid the legions of trolls wanting to call her out for her admittedly boorish behaviour.
Though some still managed to raid her social media accounts for photos, and a few even managed to post comments saying what they thought of her.
Anjali has now been suspended by Jackson Health System, put on administrative leave and removed from all clinical duties pending an investigation. Let's just hope the disappointment of seeing her career now in jeopardy didn't cause her to react in the same way as in the video.
But what do you think? Should the hospital cut her some slack or should she lose the career that she spent years working for because of some bad behavior caught on tape? Leave your ramblings in the comments.
