Man, 70, shoots at neighbors for feeding stray cats
Angry that has neighbors had been leaving food in the hallway of their Miami apartment building for stray kitties, Jose Estrada pulled out his gun and fired four times.
MIAMI — The moment a Miami man shot at his neighbors in a dispute over stray cats has been caught on video.
Ariol Garcia Batista and his wife Ana Perez had been leaving food for stray cats in the hallway of their apartment building in Little Havana, NBC 6 reports.
Jose Estrada, 70, who lives just across the hallway, wasn't happy about that, and earlier this month he escalated the dispute with his neighbors.
During an argument with Garcia and Perez, who was standing just outside his door, Estrada pulled out a gun and fired four shots.
Garcia caught the action on his cell phone and uploaded the video to YouTube and Facebook.
"I didn't think he was going to use the gun," Perez told NBC 6. "I thought he was trying to intimidate me, I never thought it was a real gun. He never gave signs of having dementia."
Miraculously, no one was injured, though the victims' apartment was riddled with bullet holes, including one in their television. The victims told NBC 6 their landlord may evict them and Estrada.
Estrada was arrested and faces charges of first-degree attempted murder. He was ordered held on $10,000 bond and remains under house arrest pending his trial, the Miami New Times reported.
