Gunmen storm luxury resort in Mali in suspected Jihadist terror attack

Minutes after the attack began, the assailants exchanged fire with Malian anti-terrorist forces. The security minister said at least four assailants were killed.

NSFW    DOUGOURAKORO, MALI — At least two tourists and four assailants were killed during an attack by suspected jihadi terrorists on Sunday afternoon at a popular luxury resort on the outskirts of the Malian capital.

At least four armed gunmen reportedly stormed the grounds of Le Campement Kangaba resort, shooting at unsuspecting tourists walking the camping grounds. While more than 30 civilians managed to escape, at least two have been reported dead, one of whom has been identified as a French-Gabonese dual citizen.

No one immediately claimed responsibility for the attack. The violence was carried out during the last week of Ramadan, the Muslim holy month.
