Football Explainer - 2017 Summer Universiade
Football is a team competition that tests the players’ dynamics and skills. In a large field, 22 players (each team has 10 footballers and one goalkeeper) madly chase after the ball, aiming to score a goal into the opponent’s net. It’s called football because of their foot skills!
Besides the goalkeeper and throw-ins, players cannot touch the ball with their hands during the match. Players must use their feet or other parts of their bodies to pass the ball. The team who scores the most goals wins. If there is a tie, additional time may be added to the game or decided with penalty kicks.
