What the Freak?
PORTLAND, OREGON — On an Alaska Airlines flight from Las Vegas to Portland, a flight attendant got a little handsy with a female passenger, and was charged with third degree sexual abuse when the plane landed in Oregon.
At some point in the flight, 26-year-old flight attendant Heidi McKinney allegedly touched a woman on board on her breasts and genital area. The woman claims the touching was unwelcome and not consensual.
Once the plane landed, other passengers on board the flight tweeted that a flight attendant, believed to be McKinney, appeared intoxicated and was having difficulty walking down the plane aisles.
At Portland International Airport, police arrested McKinney after interviewing the molested passenger. The plane was held up with passengers stuck on board as McKinney was escorted off the plane by officers. The flight attendant was charged with third-degree sexual abuse and taken to Multnomah County Jail.
McKinney has since been released from jail on $2500 bail, and the prosecutor has decided not to press charges. However, the case has now been referred to the U.S. Attorney's Office for review, and federal charges could follow.
