Eight people were killed in a bus crash in China’s Yunnan province on July 14 when a tour bus overturned on a slippery road and plunged into a valley.
The bus was travelling with 27 people on board on Mengjing Road in Yunnan’s Xishuangbanna Dai Autonomous Prefecture. An initial investigation suggests that heavy rains had made the road slippery, leading to the crash.
It was reported that the bus overturned and plunged into a 40-meter-deep valley. Nineteen people were injured, including the driver. Eight of them suffered serious injuries. Authorities are still investigating the cause of the accident.
