Dog saves baby from dump site in Thailand
A prematurely born baby was rescued by a dog in Thailand after the canine found her inside a plastic bag at a dump site in Thailand. The dog, named Pui, brought the bag back to his owner’s house where the child was rushed to hospital and treated.
Thailand media reports say the child, who weighed 2.2 kg, was most likely prematurely born at seven and a half months. Doctors say she is now in stable condition. Officials are appealing to residents in the community to help find her mother.
Pui received a leather collar and medal from the local Red Cross chapter as a token of appreciation. Pui’s owner also received 10,000 baht for the dog’s heroic deed.
