Boy trapped in ice hole rescued from freezing to death by police
Police officers in China waded into freezing cold waters to rescue a boy trapped in an ice hole and save him from a near certain death.
CHINA — The moment a group of brave Chinese police officers waded into freezing cold waters to rescue a boy trapped in an ice hole has been captured on camera.
The footage of the scene in an unknown province in China was uploaded to LiveLeak yesterday.
The boy, who looks about 10 years old, was stranded in a hole in the ice. The little fellow couldn't move and screamed for help.
The policemen threw a bamboo ladder into the icy water, and one of the officers dived right in after it, risking his own life to save the boy. He was then joined in the water by several colleagues.
The first officer reached the boy and dragged him to an embankment with the help of his colleagues — saving the child from an almost certain icy death.
