Two divers, Shawn Stamback and Francis Antigua, were relaxing in the water and watching humpback whales feed in the ocean at Souza Rock, two miles from Morro Bay, in California. Little did they know that another pair of the lunge-feeding predators were hunting fish below them.
As Stamback and Antigua bobbed in the water while observing whales feed about a quarter mile away, sardines suddenly started jumping out of the water around them. Then two 40-ton humpback breached in between the two men, missing them by a matter of feet.
Congratulations Shawn Stamback and Francis Antigua, you just cheated death.
