Soccer Team Says Sorry For 'Sex Dolls' in Stadium

NSFW    SEOUL, SOUTH KOREA — FC Seoul have been accused of using sex dolls in leiu of supporers to fill their stadium.

The team supposedly believed that they were adding to the idea of cardboard cutouts, previously used by baseball teams in Korea to also help with maintaining an atmosphere within the stadium because of the coronavirus.

On Sunday's 1-0 win over Gwangju FC at the Seoul World Cup Stadium, the dolls were dressed in team gear and even wore face masks.

But sers on Twitter were quick to point out that the mannequins were, in fact, sex dolls, however, the club denies these claims but still issued an apology.

'We are very sorry about the supporting mannequins that were placed during the game on May 17th. These mannequins may have been made to look and feel like real humans but they are not for sexual use — as confirmed by the manufacturer from the beginning.'

Here's the twist, although the club denies the dolls are for sexual acts, they did admit in their statement that the manufacturer of the mannequins, Dalkom reused some of the parts it previously supplied to another company.

The club's statement didn't directly address criticism of why it chose to work with Dalkom, which does, in fact, manufacture sex dolls, or why nearly all the mannequins at the stadium were female in design.
